There Seems to Be a Leak...

As I stated in a previous work, I'm a bit of a classical music nut, so both the classic Fantasia and the newer Fantasia 2000 (which, by the way, is supremely better) were very familiar to me growing up.  Mickey Mouse in a wizard hat has been Disney's trademark icon for over 75 years; granted, Fantasia wasn't initially a huge success on its release, owing to the fact that a) not a lot of kids are really interested in just music with no dialogue, and b) it was released in 1940, when America had a few more important things to think about, like WWII.  This idea occurred to me shortly after watching both Fantasia movies back to back; this particular short was featured in both.  Fun Fantasia fact: two of my top favorite composers, Beethoven and Stravinsky, each had one piece of music in each Fantasia film; Beethoven's Pastoral Symphony in the first and his famous 5th Symphony for the second; and Stravinsky's Rite of Spring in the first and, one of my favorites, the Firebird in Fantasia 2000.
